Paerpay Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Policy”) is designed to inform visitors to the PaerPay website, located at www.paerpay.com, and users of the PaerPay mobile application (collectively, the “Products”) about how PaerPay, Inc. (“PaerPay,” “we” or “us”) gathers and uses personal information collected by us in connection with the Products. We will take reasonable steps to protect user privacy consistent with the guidelines set forth in this policy and with applicable U.S. laws. In this policy, “user” or “you” means any person using or otherwise benefiting from the Products or otherwise submitting personal information to PaerPay via the Products.

Our Products are not intended for use by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 18.  If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 18, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR PRODUCTS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.

What personal information we collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways.  The information we may collect via our Products depends on the content and materials you use, and includes some or all of the following:  

  • We will collect and store any personal information knowingly disclosed to us throughout the use of our Products.  This includes (but is not limited to) your name, email address, phone number, and profile picture.

  • We may request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device while you are using PaerPay Products.

  • We will request access or permission to use certain features from your mobile device which are required for the proper use of our products, including your mobile device’s camera, contacts, and other features.  

  • If you choose to sign into any of our products through a Facebook account, we may by default access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public. We may also request access to other permissions related to your account, such as friends, check-ins, and likes, and you may choose to grant or deny us access to each individual permission.   • We will store Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the mobile application.  

  • We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies in our Products to help customize the Application and improve your experience.  When you access the Application, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of your personal information being used in this way, you may opt to use various tools that are commonly included in web browsers or operating systems, such as removing or rejecting cookies.  These tools are commonly accessed through the “settings” menu of the browser or operating system.

 

If you do not wish to provide certain personal information and opt not to disclose it, you may be unable to access certain features, services, or benefits of our Products.

What we do with your personal information

Once obtained through the use of our Products, your personal information may be used by PaerPay for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate payments and refunds through third party businesses (restaurants).

  • To deliver targeted advertising, coupons, newsletters, and other information regarding promotions and the Application to you.

  • To email you regarding your account or a transaction (usually in the form of a receipt).

  • To notify you of updates to the Application.

  • To assist law enforcement and respond to subpoena.

  • To prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

  • To generate a personal profile about you to make future experiences with our Products more personalized.

  • To increase the efficiency and operation of the Application.

  • To request feedback and contact you about your use of the Application.

  • To offer new products, services, mobile applications, and/or recommendations to you.

How we share your personal information with Third Parties

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations.  Your information may be disclosed as follows:

  • Because we do not process payments directly, financial information such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) will be shared with third-party businesses (the restaurants we work with).  We will not be held liable for any

  • If you interact with other users of the PaerPay Mobile Application, those users will see your name and profile photo.

  • We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.

  • We may share your information with third parties which perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service, and marketing assistance.

  • We may share your information with advertisers and investors for the purpose of conducting general business analysis.  We may also share your information with such third parties for marketing purposes, as permitted by law.

  • If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, we may transfer your information to the successor entity.  If we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, your information would be an asset transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

Links to other websites

PaerPay Products may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have used these links to leave the Products, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy of your information. Before visiting and providing any information to any third-party websites, you should inform yourself of the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party responsible for that website, and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. We will not be held responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties, including other sites, services or applications that may be linked to or from the Application.

Security Measures and Communicating with PaerPay

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information.  While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.  Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

Access to and Ability to Correct Personal Information; Opt-Out Right

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:

  • Logging into your account settings and updating your account

  • Contacting us using the contact information provided below

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases.  However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Term of Us, and/or comply with legal requirements.

Right to Change Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason.  We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy.  You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of all updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of PaerPay Products after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.
